2 Corinthians 5:7
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Paul distinguishes between two ways of living: FAITH and SIGHT. Sight concerns what we can see, measure, and influence. Faith rests on trusting God's PROMISES, even when they are not visible. Additionally, "walking" suggests a steady, ongoing journey… not rushing, but taking deliberate steps forward, one at a time.

Living by sight demands CERTAINTY and leaves room for worry. Living by faith requires TRUST. The Christian life often includes seasons when the path is unclear and God's timing feels slow. Faith doesn't demand all the answers… it trusts the ONE who holds them.

Have you ever considered how much WORRYING most people do? Worry is defined as: “to be uneasy in the mind, to feel anxious about something, to fret.” Interestingly, it derives from an Old English word meaning "to strangle."

Worry strangles our peace of mind and our enjoyment of life. There's a direct connection between fear and worry. We can choose to walk by faith or give in to worry, but we can’t do both at the same time (and FAITH is the far better choice)!

Faith isn't reckless. It doesn't ignore reality. Faith sees reality through GOD'S lens. Same circumstances. Different perspective. Eventually, the same circumstances that once seemed terrifying can become a TESTIMONY of God’s provision.

So what's God asking you to trust Him with? The job interview? The medical report? The unsaved loved one? The difficult conversation? Take the next step. Trust HIM, who's already walked that road.

Quote: "Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible, and receives the impossible."
— Corrie Ten Boom

Prayer: Father, when I can see only obstacles, help me walk by faith. Strengthen my trust in Your unseen work. Amen.
