40 Scriptures to Shape Your Faith
Day 40 | 2 Chronicles 7:14
2 Chronicles 7:14
"If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (NASB)
After the Temple was dedicated, God spoke to Solomon and laid out a PATHWAY to restoration with FOUR conditions: humility, prayer, seeking His face, and repentance.
Notice: God says, "If MY people who are called by MY name." The responsibility falls to those who BEAR His name. Revival doesn't start with politicians or celebrities. It starts with GOD'S PEOPLE. Us. You. Me.
"HUMBLE yourselves." Not "be humbled,” but “HUMBLE.” It's something WE do. We choose to bow. We choose to admit. “PRAY” … not casually, but passionately. “SEEK His FACE” … not His hand or His gifts, but His FACE. His presence. His PERSON. “TURN from wicked ways.” Repentance isn't just feeling bad… it's CHANGING direction: stopping one path and starting another.
The promise? "I will HEAR from heaven, and I will FORGIVE their sin and HEAL their land." God hears. God forgives. God HEALS.
I don't know about you, but when I look around, I see our land in need of GREAT HEALING.
As a nation, we have drifted FAR from the ways of the Word of God. Division. Anger. Brokenness. Lies. Wars and rumors of wars. God has been essentially kicked OUT of our schools. Yet we also know where REVIVAL starts: on our KNEES. When God's people take His holiness seriously, He takes their LAND seriously.
Please join me. Let’s be humble, pray, seek, and turn… and watch what GOD does.
Quote: "Revival is the sovereign work of God, but it is preceded by the fervent prayers of His people."
— J.I. Packer
Prayer: Sovereign Lord, we HUMBLE ourselves, pray, seek Your face, and TURN from our sinful ways. Please begin a revival in US and other Bible-believing churches that spreads to our communities and ALL our nation. Amen.
