40 Scriptures to Shape Your Faith

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
The prophet Jeremiah spoke these words to God's children in the Old Testament, but they are also applicable today.
Picture the scene: Israelites are captives in Babylon, far from home, stripped of their city, temple, and dreams. God sends Jeremiah with a message of HOPE, offering not quick fixes but the assurance that His plans for them are GOOD, even when life feels broken.
Think about it: the Lord God KNOWS all. He's omniscient — He knows your past, your present, and HE KNOWS your future too. (BTW, I'm kind of glad I do NOT know my exact future — it would probably be TMI, and I wouldn't live my life as God wants me to.) And since the Lord loves you, His desire for YOU is to give you HOPE and a FUTURE.
This was the theme of the very first sermon I preached as the new pastor at my church many years ago. I later learned that the church was small and discouraged, and the board expected to close its doors within a year. However, the LORD had other plans, and today our church is healthy, joy-filled, and thriving!
How about YOU? Are you struggling or hopeful? Maybe you're waiting for a job, healing, or direction. It's easy to feel forgotten when answers delay. But God's timeline isn't ours. The exile lasted seventy years, but God KEPT His promise. Your waiting has purpose too.
The key is FAITH and TRUST. Trust Him for the best future He has in store for you!

Prayer: LORD God, I trust You to know what's best for me. Thank You for the hope and future You have planned. Amen.
