40 Days of TRUST
Day  29 | TRUSTING IN A GOD THAT KNOWS US
TRUSTING IN A GOD THAT KNOWS US

Nahum 1:7
“The Lord is good, a strength and stronghold in the day of trouble;
He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge and trust in Him.”
(AMP)

Those who love the Lord can SEE His goodness and then find protection in His “stronghold” – which is the LORD Himself.

Charles Spurgeon said:  “Remember that it is only a day; it is not a week, nor a month, and God will not permit the devil to add an extra hour to that day; it is a ‘day of trouble.’ There is an end to all our griefs.”

God “knows, recognizes, cares for, and understands fully those who TRUST in Him.”  He has a relationship with them as “trust” implies a relationship, and God knows those who have a real relationship with HIM.

Spurgeon also said: “Once more, dear friends, this word ‘know’ here means loving communion… God knows us; he knows our prayers and tears, knows our wishes, and knows that we are not what we want to be, but he knows what we desire to be. He knows our aspirations, sighs, groans, secret longings, and chastenings of spirit when we fail; He has entered into it all. He says, ‘Yes, dear child, I know all about you; I have been with you when you thought you were alone. I have read what you could not read, the secrets of your own heart that you could not decipher I have known them all, and I still know them.’”

The LORD is good, an essential thing for us all to remember.

“God is good; ALL the time” is more than just a saying; it is truth.  God can be trusted.

Prayer: Lord, YOU are good and trustworthy, and my stronghold in the day of trouble.  Help me rest in Your grace, Your love, Your strength, and trust you completely. Amen.
