Day 30 | LIVING RIGHT
LIVING RIGHT

Psalm 53:1-4
“Only fools say in their hearts, ‘There is no God.’  They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! God looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God. But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one! Will those who do evil never learn?"
(NLT)

Growing up, I attended Sunday School, church, choir, and youth group. It was a normal part of life, and my friends in school and scouts did the same… or I assumed everyone did.

Today, our world is becoming more and more adversarial to God and the things of God. Many are openly saying, “there is no God” and living in an evil and corrupt way.

Statistics also show that even among self-avowed Christians, church attendance levels are less frequent, even for people who consider themselves “regular attenders” at their local church.
So, let me ask, if God is looking down from heaven on the entire human race, what do you think He thinks about YOU?

Let me ask another: Does it affect your driving when you see a policeman parked in his car watching the traffic? Do you slow down, stop completely at the stop sign and carefully at the stop light?

Why?

Because IF we think someone in authority is watching, we are careful and within the rules.
Well, God is watching. You, me, and the entire human race. The problem is that we can’t see Him, and we begin to wonder if there is any punishment (such as a ticket from a cop) coming our way.

Let me encourage you to live in a way that would not require your asking forgiveness from God.

Prayer: LORD, I know I am not perfect yet but know that someday, in your presence, I will be! Help me live as best I can, in a way that pleases you now. Amen.
