40 Reasons God DELIGHTS in YOU

WE SHOULD WANT TO WORSHIP GOD
Ephesians 1:3-6
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons and daughters through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which He favored us in the Beloved.” (NASB)
If you have children, you’ll remember having to teach them to be thankful when they received a gift. The fact is, even as children we tend to be self-centered. We don’t always SEE what kindness others have done for us deserving of our sincere “thank you.”
And then there’s God. What HE has done for us eclipses every other gift we’ve ever received piled together.
For starters, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing! I’m not sure we could even approach an exhaustive list of those!
Then, we have been adopted as God’s children: we are sons and daughters!
Then, God poured out His grace and favor on those of us in Jesus.
Consider that for a moment. Do you have favorite friends or family members who come over from time to time for a special dinner get-together? And do you bring out the “special place settings” for those times? Why? Why with them? Because they are unique, you honor those special guests with special appointments.
God has given us His best, His only begotten Son. And accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior will provide forgiveness of sin, purposeful life, and eternal life in heaven with God and all the Saints. That deserves our WORSHIP!
Prayer: LORD, as the song says: “I worship You Almighty God, there is none like You. I worship You, O Prince of Peace; that is what I want to do. I give you praise, for you are my righteousness. I worship You Almighty God; there is none like you.” Amen.
