NEVER PERISH
John 10:27-29
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.” (NLT)
The SECURITY of Jesus’ sheep (which WE are, if we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior) does NOT rest with US but with our Heavenly Father, Almighty God. Consider that term: Almighty. God the Father IS Almighty, and no one can steal us – you and me – out of His hand once we have received the amazing gift of salvation and are “Born Again” (a term from John 3).
Paul confirms the same in Romans 8:38-39 – “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The KEY to this “ETERNAL LIFE” is being Born Again and voluntarily becoming one of God’s SHEEP. We do that by believing and trusting in Him for the forgiveness of our sins, our salvation, and – eventually – our eternity with Him in heaven, forever. We shall “NEVER PERISH.”
Right now, whisper a prayer of THANKS to your Father in heaven.
Prayer: LORD, I am so thankful to be born again and to have obtained eternal life in You. Thank You, Amen.
