Day  35 | WHERE TO FIND WISDOM
WHERE TO FIND WISDOM

2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
(NKJV)

The other day I couldn't find the key for my car, it wasn't in its regular place, and I try to have it in its place when not in my pocket. It is – excuse the pun – KEY to my ability to go anywhere in my car. It is absolutely essential.

Having the wisdom to live appropriately in today's world requires a KEY, too.
By myself and without my key, my car will just sit there locked. I can't get in or start or drive it; it just becomes something ornamental.

Without God's wisdom, LIFE wisdom, we become rather ornamental also. Without His Word and wisdom, we'll tend to make poor and unwise decisions.

Today's verses show us WHERE to find God's wisdom, which, like me finding my car keys, will allow us to "start the car" and live with the LORD wise and well.

Paul is telling young pastor Timothy about the Word of God, which was given by the "inspiration of God." The Greek translates "God-breathed." God wanted us, those who choose to worship Him, to have the best wisdom available, His wisdom. And that wisdom is PROFITABLE for us in many ways.

Back to my car analogy… Do you know where I go to find out exactly what type of oil I should use, what my tire pressure should be, or the maintenance schedule for my car? Right, I go to the Owner's Manual. They made the car, and they know best.

Well, God made us, and the Word of God is His Owner's Manual for us and tells us EVERYTHING we need to know to be wise children of God and followers of Jesus Christ.

We are WISE and do ourselves a HUGE favor when we spend time in His Word.

Prayer: LORD GOD, forgive me for snubbing Your Word. Please help me to study it every day. Amen.
