Day  26 | TRUSTING GOD TO SUPPLY
TRUSTING GOD TO SUPPLY

Isaiah 4:5-6
“And the Lord will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory shall be a canopy (a defense of divine love and protection). And there shall be a pavilion for shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge and a shelter from storm and from rain.”
(AMP)

God’s promise to the Israelites from the prophet Isaiah can give us HOPE in days like we are facing today.

We may not feel we need shelter from the heat or the storm or the rain… but most of the people I talk to today are concerned about the events of the day and what the future holds.

The reality is NO ONE (other than God) knows what is coming next week, next month, or next year.  NO ONE knows how long the restrictions we are currently experiencing will end.  NO ONE knows what will happen to our economy, our national debt, our retirement plans, our banks, our government, our laws, or our freedoms.  We have enjoyed WONDERFUL prosperity as a nation, especially during the last 75 years or so, but the future is uncertain.

“BUT GOD”
… I like those words.  Words that tell about God interrupting the course of an event, to superimpose HIS WILL, HIS PLAN, and HIS SOLUTION in a situation.

Although those two words are not in this Isaiah passage, the concept certainly is.

Reading the context of this verse, we see God promising His Children superior protection just when they need it.

That’s just like our GOD… to provide just WHAT we need just WHEN we need it.

Prayer: LORD, I want to thank You for your promises to Your children, including me!  Thank You for the rest You provide me by my not having to worry about these things. Amen.
