40 Reasons God DELIGHTS in YOU

GOD KNEW YOU BEFORE YOU WERE BORN
Galatians 1:15
“But when God, who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me by his grace, was pleased.”
Jeremiah 1:5
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb.
Before you were born, I set you apart.”
As unbelievable as it seems to us, God – who is all-knowing, everywhere present, and all-powerful – KNEW YOU before you were born.
I know, I know; HOW is that possible?
Humanly – there’s no way. But GOD is GOD, and He knows all … the beginning, the end, the in-between.
In both of these Scriptures, one from the Old and one from the New Testament, God's Word tells us essentially the same thing: GOD knew about us before we were born. AND He set us apart for His service.
This is one of the “tensions” in Scripture… God knowing what we’re going to do (before we do it) and us having the free will to do as we choose. And then… think about your parents; did God bring them together? Or did He just know they would produce YOU as a child or what?
Again, this is truly “above our pay grade.” And perhaps that is a good thing.
I've often said, “He's God, and we're NOT.” And even though some on the planet today may THINK “they are god” – they are NOT. No one walking this planet now or at any time in the past (or the future) can do what God can do. Satan can't, the demons can't, the angels can't. He's GOD… period.
And HE knows you! He knew you were coming along, knew that I was going to write this devotional, AND knew that today you'd be reading or listening to it. God is BEYOND our understanding! (Aren't you glad that He loves you?)
Prayer: LORD, thank YOU for loving me, knowing me, and having a plan for my life. Help me to commit myself to YOUR PLAN fully. Amen.
