Day 08 | GOD IS WITH YOU

GOD IS WITH YOU
Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” (NKJV)
Do you remember a time when you were a child and you were afraid? Maybe it was a bad dream, a frightening noise, maybe something woke you in the middle of the night, but something happened that caused you to feel terrified.
Even now I can remember a couple of times like that when I was little. And each time I sought out my parents for comfort, protection, and reassurance. Of course, I didn’t know that was what I was looking for. I just instinctively knew to go to them with my fears (which were very real to me).
And my folks – like all good parents – made me feel safe and OK. They didn’t try to help me rationalize my fears; they just accepted me and helped me get through the rough patch, making me feel that everything was OK now.
Sometimes even adults have fears; grown-up fears for sure, but fears nonetheless. And like children, we instinctively want someone to help us with our fears and to reassure us.
Enter the Prophet Isaiah with these words from God the Holy Spirit to God’s children… then AND now.
“Fear not, for I am with you,” is both a command and a promise.
Remember that fear, doubt, and worry are TRICKS of Satan against us. So, are you facing something NOW causing you to be afraid?
Re-read today’s verse and receive it as a promise from the LORD to you.
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for always caring about me and helping me in life. Amen.
