Psalm 37:5
“Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”
“COMMITMENT” is a KEY in life, as you can’t accomplish anything without some level of commitment. Do you want to graduate from high school or college? You’ll need to commit to attending, studying, and all the other requirements. Want to have a successful marriage? You’ll have to commit to your marriage. The same is true with your job. Commitment is essential.
Commitment in the Christian faith is essential, too. We each must commit ourselves to the Lord Jesus as our Savior to be forgiven, born again, and to receive eternal life!
Today’s verse tells us to “commit thy way” – which means everything – to the Lord and to TRUST Him to cause things to happen in our lives that He wants to happen… for our good and His glory.
No matter what your attitude may be about earthly fathers, your Heavenly Father is perfect in every way! His agape love for you is unconditional, selfless, and sacrificial. Remember John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
You can commit yourself to our Father, Who art in heaven, and He WILL bring it to pass.
Prayer: LORD God, I delight in You, I trust You and I commit myself afresh to You. Thank You in advance for all you’re doing and will do in my life, as I Trust, Delight, and Commit myself to You. Amen.
