Day 03 | ASSURANCE AND REWARD

ASSURANCE AND REWARD
Hebrews 11:1, 6
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”
Being a Follower of Christ, a born-again Christian, or any of the other terms we use, is MORE than just ascribing to a list of facts about Jesus Christ. We also know that “the just shall live by faith,” meaning we have divine assurance (not necessarily any empirical evidence) for the things that God has promised, and that that FAITH itself is a gift of God!
We, who name ourselves among the Children of God, are sometimes challenged to PROVE Jesus or God to someone who does not believe. That is again where faith and trust come in, for although there are many empirical and historical evidences for our faith, I’ve noticed that most who do not believe in Christ actually do not want to believe.
As for us, faith is the ASSURANCE, the “title deed,” the “substance,” the “reality” of something about which we have a conviction in EVEN IF we can’t see it. (Such as heaven.) But we know that FAITH is also the way we please our Lord as we look forward to His future rewards in heaven and His blessings in the now!
Prayer: LORD God, thank You for the gift of faith that You have planted in me. I have faith in You, I trust You, and I love being one of Your children. Amen.
