Show Respect - Love One Another #1

I. WHY SHOULD WE TREAT EVERYONE WITH RESPECT?
1. Because EVERY person is CREATED in the image of God.
(Gen 1:26; Ps 8:5; John 3:16; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
2. Because showing RESPECT shows that I am a Christ Follower.
(1 John 4:8; 1 Cor 13:1-3)
3. Because we REAP what we SOW.
(Gal 6:7; Proverbs 11:17; 1 Cor 13:1-3)

II. HOW TO SHOW RESPECT TO OTHERS.
1. When you talk to people … be TACTFUL not just TRUTHFUL
(Prov 15:23; Eph 4:15; Prov 15:4; Prov 10:19 Prov 13:3)
2. When you are served by others … be UNDERSTANDING not DEMANDING
(Luke 6:31-34; Luke 6:31-34; Prov 16:21)
3. When you disagree with people … be GENTLE not JUDGMENTAL
(Rom 14:12-13; John 17:22-23; James 3:16-17)
4. When you share your faith … RESPECT them don’t REJECT them.
(Col 4:5-6 – 5; 1 Cor 5:12; Matt 7:1;1 Peter 3:15-16)
5. When people are rude to you … respond KINDLY.
(Rom 12:17-21 )
